Yoga & Flowers
Yoga & Flowers: The Silence of Flowers Day-Long Retreat July 18 10am-4:30pm “The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear” - Rumi
Your day begins with an exploration of the secret gardens found throughout the property at The Resilient Barn (731 Ardoise School Rd, Mount Uniacke). Now familiarized with the space, we come together for a gentle yoga session with the Yoga Hen, an opportunity to encourage us all to connect more deeply with place and to cultivate this time we’ve been given amidst such beauty. Your lunch will be enjoyed alone in one of the places that resonated with you during your guided walk. While enjoying your garden-inspired Buddha Bowl lunch created by local chef Domenic Padula of Food Fantastique, you may read, sketch, paint, write, meditate…whatever you wish to do.
Following lunch, your connection with nature will continue as you take part in a floral workshop with designer Denise Stockdale of Barefoot Blooms. This workshop begins with gathering flowers to add to those brought from the gardens at Barefoot Blooms. You will then sit quietly with your flowers for a guided meditation using the intricacies of flowers to calm the mind.
